Distant
artists are encouraged to get their panels to me as soon as possible.
Please include instructions for the assembly and I'll do my best to do
it exactly the way you envision it. Pieces sent rolled up in mailing
tubes seem to be a good idea for economy. It takes about a day to
flatten the pieces.
Installation of
the project will be June 28, 2012 at the Gas Station. Final Deadline
for all pieces is June 16th. Getting them before that date will really
help. Keep in mind that the idea is about the word as an object. Deal
with it any way you like, just make sure it's legible from fifteen feet
away.

Marashian of the Glendale Arts and Culture Department for facilitating
this project. The A and C Department is now under the aegis of the
Glendale Library System, Cindy Cleary Head Librarian. Cindy has been an
arts advocate for many years in Glendale and it's our hope that use of
the Gas Station and other civic spaces may continue to open to
installations like this one.
